True to fashion we were well treated at Umhlali and the course was in good condition despite their spring treatment having been done only 2 weeks prior to us playing.
I had the pleasure of playing with Captain Kevin de Kok, against Simon Taylor and Richard Andersson and another pinkie was prized from my pocket! Thanks Kevin for your hospitality and also to your club staff and the greenkeeping staff for making our day very pleasant.
Congratulations to Bruce “Dumbie” Mungle(A-div) and Brian Kitto(C-div) on both scoring 40 pointers. If anyone knows every blade on the course it is Dumbie as he grew up on this track- well played guys. Well done also to Cliffie Cartmell on scoring 37 points to win B-div.
We play our penultimate game of the year at Mt Edgecombe this month and we are also hosting the Captains of each club we play at to thank them . The captains play for the “Fellowship Trophy” which is decided by the captain with the highest points on the day.
I would personally like to thank each of the Captains for hosting us at their respective courses and opening their Clubhouses and Courses to us.
