Welcome back and I trust that the festive season was a good one for you and that you are re energized for the year ahead.
Well, after all the fuss at Beachwood regarding the prize giving facility, Durban country club came to the party and provided a more than satisfactory resolution with the marquee and all went well in the end . Thank you Dcc
Congratulations to all the winners on Gold cup day.
The monthly divisional winners were Udo Goedeke in ‘A’ div on 38pts, Tony Jackson ‘B’ div on 41 Pts and Kevin Phillips ‘C’ Div on 42 Pts.
Well done Guys, especially Tony and Kevin who were in my 4 ball and gave a great display of 40 pointer golf.
Your gold cup winners were Joel Lauretet in “A” Div, Manie Snyman “B” Div and Shaun Barker in “C” Division.
Other special mentions on the day must be Kevin Phillips who won the ‘Champion of Champions’ and Bruce Mungle who won the John Mungle trophy for ‘player of the year’. A very proud moment for Bruce and all of his family I’m sure;

The Gary Player Plate was won by Eric Morsner and Peter Avelini
And the big one for the year, The Gary player trophy was won by Alan Lazarus and Daryl François.
Well done and well played to all of you.
Mark Bryant also made two presentations on the evening. Firstly to John Winton who received his 450 game badge. A fantastic milestone for John who looks so fit that he could just keep going on and on.
Brian Findlay also received his 5 year tie. Well done Brian.
To Helen and Jenny at registration, and our starters Bones Cochrane, Jackie Chisolm and Roy Language; thank you for all your effort on the day and throughout the year and I look forward to your continued commitment in 2010.
Helen (once again), Barbara Chelin, and Frans van Schaik, thank you for your hard work and calculated accuracy with the scoring on the day which enabled us to present a slick and efficient prize giving in the evening.
Thank you also to Tony, Ilse and Fred as they step down from committee duties. Thank you all and well done for all your hard work and enjoy you time out.
To the rest of my committee, as well as our newcomers on board Brian Morris - Junior vice, Kevin Phillips – Treasurer and Trevor Larkan – Equipment. I sincerely appreciate your continued commitment to Natal nomads. I know you will all enjoy the experience and I look forward to working with all of you.
