Our first nomad’s game of the year went off very smoothly thanks to both your vice captain, Richard Agar and Junior vice, Brian Morris. Thanks guys for you effort out there ensuring that we all had a great day.
I had the pleasure of playing with the captain of Bluff, Darryl Ribbink and our opponents Geoff Bell and new sponsor of the Nomads score cards, Gavin Brown. Geoff and Gavin are today Fifty bucks richer. Well played guys.
We were joined on the day by visitors Ryan Hillary, Gary Durant, Shaun Ribbink, Frans Higgins and Dean Harding. Gentlemen I hope you had a great day.
Congratulations to all the divisional winners on the day; Gustav Kriese (A Division 38 points), Keith Gillespe (B Division 35 points) and Pumi Khanyile(C Division 34 points).Best score on the day went to Gustav Kriese.
I had the pleasure of presenting Terry Young with his 30 year tie and Krish Narsiah his 5 year tie. Guido Weigemink also received his 200 game badge and Ian Brewer his 100 game badge. Congratulations to all of you on achieving these nomadic milestones.
On a sad note we mourn the sudden death of Andy Allan. Andy suffered a stroke on Monday 25th January, slipped into a coma and passed away the following day.
Andy was a wonderful guy who always had a smile on his face and was very popular with those who knew him. Andy would have received his 10 year tie in March this year.
Our sincerest condolences to his wife Mary.
The SA Nationals team to travel to Pretoria in April has been finalized. I would like to thank your coordinator Alan Hilary for stepping in for Mark Bryant at such short notice. Please support him by ensuring that your accommodation payments are sorted as requested. Alan will advise on the date of the pre Nationals cocktail party for the final meet prior to leaving.
Maritzburg is our next game so please make sure that you give yourself enough time to get there.
