If lightning occurs and the players come off the course during a game two sets of rules could apply. If play (at the discretion of the captain) is not resumed, players get an average score. If a play is resumed but a member does not choose to continue he must hand in his card and he gets his handicap score plus whatever points he has scored until then.
The sponsorship of Bells and the S A Breweries is extremely valued by Nomads for good reason. What you drink is usually your business but you are urged to patronize the sponsored products at our monthly games.
Ready golf will continue into 2011 until further notice.
The Nomad’s dress code requires that Nomad’s attire be worn on the course, this includes Nomad’s socks. The starters will be asked to enforce compliance.
Butch Armitage and Andre Conradie won the money draws at the last game and they generously donated the money to Nomad’s funds.
Beachwood and not DCC is the selected course for the Gold Cup. The Gary Player match play final is between
H Ainsworth and B Hollenbach against D Rode and B Armitage and the Gary Player plate will be played by D Martin and T Barff against M and T Graham,
Three game badges will be awarded at the Gold Cup Meeting. Rudi Hollenbach and Richard Barker will get 100 game badges and Pat Smythe his 300 game badge.
Fred Stopforth is donating a R500.00 Pavillion voucher each month to the player who has the most points in a game.
Trevor Larkan is checking that scores are entered within 7 days after our monthly game, on the new handicap system.
